Ashlyn Harris was bornĀ  in the year 1985. She was born to Tammye and Mike Harris in Satellite Beach, Florida. She had an elder brother Chris Harris, with whom she engaged in playing adventurous activities. She loved skateboarding and surfing. Till she became 14, she used to play Club Soccer with boys.

She joined Palm Bay Rangers and South Brevard United. In 2003, she joined Seminole Ice girls team in 2003. Ashlyn pursued her basic education from Satellite High School. She received initial sporting guidance from the school coach Fitzgerald. In 65 games she scored 50 shut outs and 0.29 goals against average. For the final 2 years of school level soccer, she was rewarded with the title of Florida Player of the Year. She did graduation in May 2004 from North Carolina Tar Heels. She got the opportunity of playing for her country in the Under-19 female squad in the year 2000 to 2004, held in Canada. Her team won Gold in 2002 FIFA U-19 championships. In 2005-2006, she became a member of the Under-21 team. Eventually she was named as the number one recruit by South America. In the year 2004 she became NSCAA Player of the Year. Since she had already made commitments to play for U-19 World Cup squad in Thailand in 2004, she had to postpone her enrolment in UNC. In Spring 2005, her training began. During a spring practice she underwent surgical treatment. She got injured again in the year 2005, but due to her love for the game, she played in 2006 Atlantic Coast conference of Academic Honour Roll team. She received more injuries while playing for U-21 team but yet she got selected in 2006 NCAA Soccer team. She signed for Pali Blues. She also became 2011 Coast Guard Goalkeeper of the year. In 2001, she was selected 11 times in 2001 U-19 squad. On 12th September 2009, she received her call for playing at the senior level. She was invited for a 12 day training camp fromĀ September 21 to October 2. This was her first national training camp. Allyson believes in training and working hard everyday.
