Jessica was born on November 11 and is now 35 years old. She was born and brought up in Camarillo, California, United States and has one brother and two sisters. Her father Gil Mendoza was a football player which inspired Mendoza to pursue a career in sports, especially baseball. She got training for baseball from a very young age. She attended the Adolfo Camarillo High School and was made the player of the year in 1998. For both the junior and senior years, Mendoza also played basketball for her school team.
Mendoza rose to prominence from the year 1999. During her studies in Stanford University, her team won four matches from 1999 to 2002 and she was made the member of the US national softball team. She played in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics and won gold and silver medals respectively for her team. She holds the out-fielding position and has won several other awards and honours. She retired from the game and is currently President of Women’s Sports Foundation, a member of the board of National Education Association as well as an ambassador for the athlete team Darfur.
Mendoza got married to Adam Burks in 2006 who he met at a wedding in 2004 in Southern California. The couple is blessed with two sons. Mendoza currently works for the ESPN network as a broadcaster, a reporter and a color analyst.
