Golf can be a really expensive game as all the equipment ranging from clubs, greens fees, shoes and golf balls can make your wallet significantly lighter. Below is a list of the priciest golf balls in the market today.

DIXON FIRE

Announced in July 2010, this became immediately popular due to its price. It costs $74.95 per dozen. It is designed to be eco friendly and made with a proprietary polymer and other recycled materials.

NIKE ONE TOUR

This is supposedly the perfect and most complete golf ball by Nike. It is priced at $50 per dozen. It has a four piece construction and the compression is designed to increase the distance. The only possible drawback of this ball is that it sometimes spins too much.

NIKE RZN TOUR

This specially designed light golf ball by Nike has polymer RZN core with grooved internal layers for better energy. The microscopic dimple design of the ball reduces drag. The two versions of this golf ball are Platinum and Black. The price per dozen is $48.

TAYLORMADE LETHAL

It costs $48 per dozen and it is a five layer ball. It is designed to control the spin for the ease of the golfer.

VOLVIK VISTA IV

The Volvik Vista IV has a softer outer core and a firmer inner core designed for better energy transfer from the core. It costs $48 per dozen

SRIXON Z-STAR

This golf ball costs $45 per dozen. The cover coating on this ball is designed to increase friction and gives maximum spin for short shots.

TITLEIST PROV1

This golf ball is built with a softer compression core which results in less spin. The version Titleist ProV1x is designed to have even lesser spin than the Titleist ProV1 version.

CALLAWAY CHROME SOFT

It has an urethane cover and a four piece design. The firmer outer core and softer inner core ensures better energy transfer and more spins. It costs $40 per dozen.

WILSON DUO URETHANE

This is one of the softest golf balls available. It has a low core compression of 25 points lower than other bals in this category.  This golf ball costs $38 per dozen.

VOLVIK VIBE

Priced at $36, this is Volvik’s softest ball featuring low compression. It has a comparatively lower spin.

VICE PRO PLUS

This $35 per dozen ball has urethane cover which produces more spin for short shots. The inner mantle of the ball provides more distance.  The design of this ball is ideal for reduced spin and a flatter trajectory.

TAYLORMADE PROJECT

It has urethane cover and also features low compression. It is a multilayer golf ball and costs $35 per dozen.

SNELL MY TOUR BALL

It features a three piece design and its soft core increases its spin. It has urethane cover and is priced at $32 per dozen.

NIKE RZN SPEED RED

It costs $30 per dozen. This golf ball is provided with RZN polymer core with internal grooves which results in efficient energy flow. This golf ball is designed to fly longer distance with lesser spin.

NIKE RZN SPEED WHITE

Like the previous one from Nike, this golf ball also has RZN polymer core with internal grooves for better energy flow. These are high flying, softer golf balls from Nike and cost $30 per dozen.

BRIDGESTONE E5

This ball has urethane cover and dimple design which improves flight consistency. This golf ball is designed for increased flight distance and greenside spin. The price is $29 per dozen.

TITLEIST VELOCITY

This golf ball costs $27 per dozen. The two piece design of this ball features a larger core and a thinner cover to increase the speed. It is designed for longer distance shots.
