Born as Robert Pickering Burnham, Bo was born in Hamilton, Massachusetts, United States on August 21, 1990. His father was the owner of a construction company and his mother was a nurse. Burnham attended the St. Johns Preparatory School and graduated in 2008. In school he was active with the theatre group and later planned to attend the Tisch School of Arts under New York University in Experimental Theatre. But instead he pursued Comedy as his subject and only joined the college after a year. He has two other siblings and is the youngest amongst the three.

Burnham’s brush with popularity was by chance and never planned. In 2006, he made a video of himself singing and uploaded it online for family members to view. This was entirely a personal home video which he never thought would become an overnight sensation. His videos were copied on Break.com which attracted millions of viewers.

With the inspiration and success running high, Burnham started using instruments like guitar and digital piano with his songs. He started writing and composing music and frequently uploaded on Youtube. He described his songs as musical comedy fit for the youth.
