Shields was always motivated by Laila Ali, boxer daughter of the legendary Muhammad Ali. Bo’s mother and Shields’ grandmother is the one who encouraged her to break any restrictions that may pose due to her gender, and that has been a cause for Shields to be adamant in pursuing a male dominated sports like boxing. Don’t forget to check out other professional boxers like Tony Bellew, Marvin Hagler and Alistair Overeem who have high worth.

At the prime age of 11, Shields took up boxing as her major interest and found immense strength in her Christian faith. She regularly prays before any match she is participating in.
