She has two older brothers who also were keen players and gradually Finch developed a passion for the sport. She was an active player in her school team and procured a letter in La Mirada High School’s baseball, basketball and volleyball teams. She later went on to study communications from the University of Arizona.

While in school, in her senior year she became the team captain for three sports including basketball, baseball and volleyball. During her sophomore years, Finch represented and played for All-Suburban League and All California Interscholastic Federation.

Career:

Finch started her professional career in softball in 1999 after initially winning against UIC Flames in the NCAA tournament. She made to the World Series for three consecutive years and gathered popularity. She broke several records and got a chance in the Olympics in 2004, where she helped the US team win the first position through her impeccable pitching skills. Finch appeared for the 2008 Olympics and the team won a silver medal which proved to be extremely disturbing for her. The game was taken off from the Olympics since 2008. She retired from the sport in 2010. In 2016, she was appointed as the guest manager for a day for the team Bridgeport Bluefish and enabled them to win a game. Finch also appeared in TV shows like The Real Housewives of Orange County, McDonalds Thanksgiving Parade, Pros vs Joes, The Celebrity Apprentice to name a few.

Personal Life:

Finch got married to Casey Daigle, a professional baseball pitcher in 2005 and has three children amongst them, two sons and a daughter. According to Finch, marriage and family was the best things to happen to her and she got more than expected in her career life. She resigned to spend time with her family and currently works as a colour analyst for ESPN. She was termed as the most successful and famous softball player till date by Time Magazine. She enjoys weight lifting which is her usual practice to keep fit. Her trademark is her towering height of 6.1 feet!
