Julie Ann Piekarski was born on 2 January, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. While growing up she had immense interest in dancing and started practicing the same very early. It was dance instructor Janice who suggested her to pursue dancing and insisted on an audition for Disney Mickey Mouse Club House. Piekarski was one of the dozen chosen for the show from about 25,000 other children.

She was only six years that time and that became her turning point in life. The show was cancelled after a year but Piekarski landed up her role in The Facts of Life which made her a household name. Piekarski attended the St. Louis High School and graduated from UCLA. After college she took up the job of an entertainment reporter in KPLR-TV in her hometown which was short lived.

Piekarski was a Muny before becoming a Mouseketeer. In her interviews she reflected the day long rehearsals and hard work which was required for putting up the shows. Apart from acting, Piekarski took up modeling as well as commercials, Dr. Pepper being her all her favorite. She got a pass for free tacos from Taco Bell for increasing the sales by her act in the company’s advertisement! Piekarki is majorly remembered for her roles in General Hospital, Different Strokes, Quincy, Three’s Company and many more. After taking a break for raising her children, Piekarski is back into acting and event management. She acted in the film The Importance of Doubting Tom in 2016.
