Patrick better known as just ‘Pat’ Farrah was born and grew up in Southern California. His father worked as an oil surveyor. He lost interest in studies and was a drop out from the first year of junior college.

In 1962, Farrah first started working for National Lumber & Supply Company located in Bellflower, Los Angeles. As the company grew, Farrah climbed the ladder of success. He first was promoted from a stock boy to an executive Vice President and then later to the general manager post. Due to some disagreement with the owners of the company, Farrah left his secure job in 1977. Having an experience in merchandising, Farrah started planning his own business and opened a home improvement store in 1978 and named it Homeco. The store started having a good footfall and a customer inventory, but gradually with poor funding the store collapsed. During this time, Farrah was observed by Bernard Marcus and Arthur Blank. Both invited Farrah to take up a job as the chief merchandising officer in their startup company Home Depot. Farrah served the company but left in 1990’s in order to pursue his own dreams. He again joined back in 1996 when he was 55 years of age and retired in 2000s.

In 2010, Farrah with Mike Leeper started a bar and burger eating joint by the name Lucky Beaver in Reno, South Shore. The eating joint instantly had huge number of customers flocking in to taste the world’s most expensive and tasty burger by the name Black Label Burger. Farrah received the Global DIY Lifetime Award in the annual summit held in Brussels, Belgium. Home Depot currently has 2200 stores across North America and sells home improvement products and services. The head-quarter is located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.
